I was going to upload those Fanime pictures a while ago.
Whoops.
Well here they are now. Random moments I remember are a cool Avatar masquerade skit, a really cool Portal 2 skit, the story of a friend's room and their horror of the bean burrito (leading to a humorous game of coming up with stupid nicknames), and some fun with the Persona 3/4 group playing a late night game of King's Game.
But really, nothing sums it up more than this:
I'm far too lazy to name/description the pictures, so if... people want an explanation, I can provide them!
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH since last update, let's see.... I graduated from college with a psychology major, and am currently taking a year off. Been trying to find an internship that would help buff up my grad school app, but I am having the worst luck. Every place I call I wind up getting their message machine, and then they don't call me back unless I leave more messages, and then they make an appointment about two weeks later... one in which told me, "Oh, by the way, I don't think this internship will help you as a psychology major."
WELP.
So it's gone from amusingly annoying to slightly frustrating at this point. Especially because I currently have more money in my wallet than I do in my account. I want to get a job, but I'm afraid that once I get one and then get an internship, I'd have to annoy my boss about moving hours around even though they just hired me, so I'd rather just do that after I get my internship.
Other than that... There was Fanime! That was fun. Shared a room with three fun people, nearly ran out of money just because they would only accept a down payment in cash (thankfully all of my friends showed up with cash to pay for their share, and they ran into me in the lobby just as I was paying), but a pretty good time. I think I still need to upload pictures come to think of it. I'll motivate myself later and make a whole new entry for that. But the summary is it was more like Homestruck Con than Fanime con.
Other than that... I played and beat Persona 4, and played more games. And went to parties. And ate a lot of pizza. And hiked in Pinnacles (California, not Australia). It was a good summer.
So much for updating more. I ended up getting a Tumblr and... really pretty much treat that like my LJ. So you can always go there! I still check this though every so often. I just don't really post unfortunately!
I need to get back to updating this. Whooooooops. I guess a quick update of what's been going on is in order:
I'm graduating in a few weeks with a psych major.
I'll hopefully be interning somewhere (possibly a suicide hotline or something FUN FUN FUN FUN) along with getting a job somewhere (no idea yet).
My graphics card is dying, I think(hence the dusting, going to try just removing it and then putting it back in, and if that doesn't work, look for a new one. Any suggestions? Current one is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT.)
Slave to a game. Still.
I'm getting a haircut (seems to be a summer ritual...)
I got a good grade on the Billy Mays poem (but the teacher didn't even know who he was...)
Two classes waitlisted, which also happen to be the only ones that are lower division. Hopefully it'll go well though once classes start. And on the upside, I have Fridays off, and my first class on monday isn't til 1 PM. Granted, classes go on until 5:30, but oh well. So long as I use my time wisely to focus on each class, I'll be fine. Feels weird to be having my last semester already.
I also like how I was considering taking a Japanese 100 class, but decided not to on account of it being a 9 AM class that met daily. Oh well. There's always Rosetta Stone.
I saw the live action adaptation of Gantz the other night. A good stand alone movie, but adaptation wise, meh. It was funny since it was a dub though. I felt bad for the actors, because they were watching it at the premier, and hoped that we could listen to them next time.
