Beta testing had ended on April 16, 2007. The player takes up the role of a driller and drills for treasures in first person view. There is a shop to purchase drills—the shopkeeper is an original character named Asaki. The player can also collect digital trading cards. The game was canceled at the closed beta stage, as installing the game crashed Windows indefinitely. Konami even had to send out 500GB external hard drives to beta users so that they could back up files while reinstalling their broken operating systems.
EVEN THE MMO WAS TOO HARDCORE FOR PEOPLE TO HANDLE HOLY SHIT
Also, did you know there's a Eureka 7 movie? Gonna watch that sometime later.
Gonna go see Up tonight *late* |

Also, Button Gwinnett is so far my favorite character in Fallout 3. I'd post a video, but there's nothing decent out there. Basically, he's a robot that believes he's Button Gwinnett. He doesn't even believe he's a robot. He guards the Declaration of Independence (yes, the actual document), and won't hand it over to you, a "red-coat spy". You have a few options on taking it, because you can take it and give it to some guy for a reward. You can either:
Kill him and steal it, causing a ton of robots to go after you.
Tell him that you should make a fake one, giving you a long sub quest of fetching ink and then coming back to him.
Convince him you're Thomas Jefferson, and you've come to take it back to give to the new president, Abraham Washington.
I love this game. |

Mini chainsaw is pretty sweet though.
On... Tuesday? Yes, Tuesday... No, Wednesday. On Wednesday I went -no, Sunday. Sunday. Yes. On Sunday I went to Japantown and had okonomiyaki for the first time. I was happy to hear that there was actually a place that had it. Although it was neat to try, and kinda tasty, it felt pretty greasy later on. Maybe it was just that place, or maybe okonomiyaki is basically the comfort food of Japan. Willing to try it out again though. The sake was kinda nice too, but I forget what it was.

| | Kow Otani-Black Blood | ] | I first went to the park with my sister and it was boring. There's always a Fourth of July celebration there, but it's really mostly meant for families and kids. It seemed a little more empty than what I remember too. From there, we went to my sister's friend's house for a party. They planned on leaving at six to go to the city, so that was when the party would end. It was pretty cloudy though, so they decided to just stay home and watch fireworks from the balcony. This was a good idea, since there was still quite a show.
One firework in particular went up in the air, and I guess one of the thrusters failed or something, so it started going sideways and slightly downwards, and exploded a little bit above some rooftops. They seemed a little spooked, but nothing big otherwise from that.
THE MAIN EVENT though of the day, was when I drove back home. 12:30, I'm turning around to park my car, when my sister notices that there's some fireworks up the street still. We go up to take a look, and remark how the glow of the fireworks is lasting longer than usual.
It wasn't fireworks at all. It was a fire.
It started small enough, in a cardboard box. But it was right next to some shrubs, and it was getting larger. I got out to see if I could move it, but it was snapping and crackling, so I was afraid it would blow up still. As luck would have it, another person came by in their car, and tried to help. When the bush next to it caught on fire, he called the fire department. I told him to wake up the people in the house where the shrubbery was, and the house next to it, while I ran down to my house to grab our fire extinguisher. Ran back up, they were hitting it with a hose and another extinguisher. We wound up getting rid of it before it took out too much damage, but half of the shrubbery is gone. Fire department never showed up, but a police car did about 3 minutes after the fire was put out.

| | dai - Iru | ] | But in the end, it feels lame. :| And go figure, a bunch of stuff happens when I end up trying to be funny.
SO TO START RIP Billy Mays.
On Saturday, I went to a resort to hang out with some friends. That was fun. Swimming etc. I didn't want to arrive too early and get bored. And most important, I didn't actually get sunburned.
Being done with Prototype, I went and got Overlord II. It's pretty fun, though not for everyone. It's basically like Pikmin, only more combat based and with more things to do. It's kinda neat though, and the dialogue is funny.
I saw Moon on Sunday. Really neat movie. Sort of like a sci-fi mystery film. But it's pretty independent, so it might be hard to find. Check it out though if the trailer interests you. Here's a trailer for it:
Also on Sunday, or maybe Saturday when we came back home, my mom was worried because she couldn't find my sister's cat. My sister, who was home all day, said not to worry about it. The next day comes, and our cat who normally stays inside a lot, had not come back. My sister starts getting worried finally, and actually has me driving her to every vet in town seeing if they found her (and yes, I really do mean every vet in town). Eventually we came back and she ends up printing out LOST CAT fliers and posting em up around. The cat's cool, nothing against her, but I said, "Don't you think we should at least wait 24 hours?" Just a quick no for a response.
So go figure, when we go to the movies, my sister calls saying that the cat came back.

(Speaking of which, I need to see The Cat Returns...)
On Wednesday, got my car washed, and also got rear ended. Very little damage compared to everything else on my car though, so no harm done. AND NOW YOU'RE CAUGHT UP! |

Thoughts? It looks like it's based more on the original anime movie, rather than the anime series, but as long as it has a more engaging story, looks good.
P.S. I hope this doesn't give rise to fandom Twilight mixings.
P.S.S. Overlord II is kinda fun. |

The story is really haphazardly, and drops a lot of development. Some things aren't explained, or quickly thrown.
Controls, with a keyboard and mouse, and a little difficult, and take some getting used to.
Graphics are pretty nice, but not outstanding.
Sound is good, but could use more civilian voices.
BUT YOU CAN SURF ON BODIES IN THE STREET AND TAKE OUT HELICOPTERS BY KICKING THEM RIGHT OUT OF THE AIR.
Oh, and it's pretty neat to see how well they copied New York City. |

I went to the Pirate Festival up in Vallejo. Got a little sunburned I think, but had fun. It was small, and I kinda ran out of things to do, but it was still fun..... I wish I could go into more detail, but I really can't. There was some firing of cannons? That was cool.

| | The Proclaimers-I'm Gonna Be 500 Miles | ] | So I learn today that the main pipe in our home is super clogged or something apparently, and some water has been leaking into the basement. There's also minor sewage that comes up in the shower/bath. This means that we can't put anything down any drain, at least, nothing excessive.
We call the plumber to come just to take a look, and the only people here are me, my sister, and a friend that's driving her up for Pirate Fair in Vallejo. The door's open, and the plumber comes in asking if anyone's home. As luck would have it, as I walk out, I see that the first person he sees is my sister's friend, already in pirate garb. Plumber says, "Oh, hello there." Friend says, "Ahoy!"
I'm regretting actually explaining why he was dressed up as a pirate to him. |
